The Ultimate Run, Lift, Bike Training Program Weeks 1-4

The first 4 weeks of this 12 week program is (Weeks 5-8 and Weeks 9-12 can be found here and here) designed for individuals who like to run, cycle, and strength train. Each week it features 2 days of whole body resistance training, 2 days of cycling, and 2 days of running with an optional rest day per week. Every fourth week is a down week to prevent overtraining/injury/burnout. After completion of the beginner or intermediate program, individuals can move up to the next level and complete an additional 12 weeks.
The goal of this program is to keep you fast, strong, healthy, and injury free by developing a robust aerobic and anaerobic system while also building muscular tone, strength, and strength endurance, which will then improve endurance exercise economy. It also allows you to make a smooth transition to focus on a single sport or activity if you choose to do so.
